There is shapeless, (un)linked, (un)translated, (un)material: verbal, spatial, and visual knowledge that movement experiences and group gatherings help to chain together. Your dancing does not exist until you create it! These connections are absolutely unique in every human; however, these materials can be listened to or read to produce dancing arguments, to write with dance as a language. To create our dance language, we need to research existing ones and ask questions to our movements, as we would normally do in a psychoanalytic session.
My classes and workshops are oriented towards people working with themselves as part of the community. Our human experience develops in this tension, training agency, fostering critical thinking and creative growth, empowers artist voices, and facilitates the transformation of ideas into actions. Learning is always a matter of connection.
